This is Pouring Rain (Surprise)

My boyfriend, who is perhaps the loveliest person I've ever been lucky enough to know, took me completely by surprise and gave me the beautiful Stolen Thunder brooch I mentioned a couple of weeks ago! It was entirely unnecessary, unprovoked and lovely.

And I haven't stopped wearing it since.

I've put up a few pictures, I apologise for the terrible quality, they were taken in photo booth!

Also, you may or may not know, but I have a somewhat strange connection/ attraction to umbrellas as I've spent the better part of a year photographing them for my Degree. (Yes kids. You can go to University and photograph umbrellas - apparently it's allowed.) So it seemed appropriate to show you a few of those. (Hence the appropriate-ness of the brooch :) )

Anyway, have a good evening everyone :) x

Hello everyone, It's been a whole week since my last post! I do apologise, I ran away to London for the weekend to see Mr Wallpaper Rose and have been a bit slack since I've been back! But here is my Outfit Wednesday post. We went to see the Sally Mann exhibition at the Photographer's gallery - which incidentally was incredible and definitely worthy of it's own post, and afterwards we went across the road to Urban Outfitters on Oxford Street. I had a mini mission - I was basically looking for a piece of jewellery with the letter 'P' on (it's a long story) but naturally you're looking for one thing and then you fall in love with another....

The other being this lovely light weight Sailing Boat design sweater! I love the simplicity of the design, both that and the colours are very reminiscent of 80's children's clothing - which is never a bad thing. So while pining for this jumper, I mentally created an outfit to share with you.

I've teamed it with Hollister denim shorts - I actually don't own any denim shorts, I wish I did but I just don't have the legs for them, HOWEVER if I could own a pair, they would be Hollister. Despite their crazy sizing system that I don't pretend to understand, they always look a really nice shape - I like the cut off rough edges. Though equally, and more likely in my case, this sweater would look great with some jeans.

To follow through with the subtle nautical theme I've used the WRJ Tabitha necklace (though this jumper does make me want to make some kind of sail boat creation!) and a rope and lace head band from Little Fille. (Again deserving of it's own blog post.) I've also suggested Models Own Coral Reef or Peacock Green nail varnish, the coral will really compliment the outfit by picking out the red of the sail boats and contrasting the turquoise however if you're wanting something a little more subtle and you're really digging the sea vibe, then the peacock green will really work.

I hope you like. x
